GUESTS on Rockingham driving days can now share their experience with friends following the introduction of on-board video to the Northamptonshire circuit’s corporate packages for 2010.

The in-car cameras along with the on-board telemetry system will allow participants to relive and evaluate their driving performance and keep the competitive banter going long after the driving day has finished.

The state-of-the-art technology is an integral part of Rockingham’s new driving day package, PowerDrive, with their own personalised web page at the end of their visit that includes their results, images, video and telemetry.

Improvements have also been made to the Rockingham Masterclass Driving Day with the hand-crafted British sports icon Aston Martin V8 Vantage joining the circuit’s prestigious supercar fleet for 2010.

Rockingham has adapted its range of corporate products for 2010 after listening to feedback from their clients, who host top class corporate events at a competitive price.

The circuit has responded positively to further improve its packages to ensure its products and prices remain the best-value on the market while maintaining the high standards clients have come to expect.

PowerDrive has been designed to provide premium driving day at an affordable price and to ensure guests get the most from their day, working hard to perfect their driving skills on track, while having fun pushing the cars to the limit off-it.

The package includes learning the 1.7mile National Circuit in two very different cars – the real racing pedigree of the V8 Supercar and the supercharged MINI Cooper S. With the on-board video and telemetry system, guests can evaluate their performance.

Once guests have mastered the National Circuit, they will move on to Europe’s fastest racing circuit and feel the G-force as they take on the Oval in a Formula Rockingham Single Seater as they experience driving at its most raw and exhilarating.

With the adrenalin still pumping, guests will master the art of drifting in a Lotus Elise on the circuit’s state of the art wet grip area, before sharpening their sliding skills in the Ford Focus GrpN cars on the specially designed tarmac rally stage.

Finally, to add an extra competitive edge to the day, guests take part in a six-way head-to-head on the Rockingham race simulators. Guests will race on a high-quality virtual version of the International Super Sports Car circuit in a bid to set the fastest lap and top the leader board.

Rockingham chairman Len O’Hagan said: “It has been a difficult year for all businesses and we fully understand the pressures being placed on people to reduce budgets, which looks set to continue in the short-term.

“We pride ourselves on not only listening to our clients but responding positively by adapting our products to meet the market needs as well as deliver the high-quality and value which is demanded by our clients.

“We have revised our driving day packages and introduced a new product for 2010, without having to comprise on the quality. If anything we have improved the contents of the driving activities to provide even better value for money.”

As part of its improvements for 2010, the Rockingham Masterclass will include in-car video on both the V8 Supercar and MINI Cooper S activities. Guests will also attend the circuit’s Drift School in the Lotus Elise on the wet grip area plus experience the new and improved rally stage.

With full first class catering supplied by award-winning hospitality event caterer Chilli Pepper included in the price along with prizes and photographs of the day, Rockingham remains a market leader in corporate entertainment.
